Questions and help

A little help getting started, keeping your plan safe, or finding your way back.

Received someone else's Plan?Start here.

Before you start

Is this a will?

No. morrow helps you organise practical details: who to call, where important things are, and what needs looking after. It can record where your will is kept and who the executor is, but it does not replace one.

Why not write my own document?

You can. morrow gives you prompts so you remember what matters, puts the details in order, and makes the Emergency Sheet and the Sealed File for you.

What does Rs 1,999 include?

One person's guided plan, the Emergency Sheet, the Sealed File, and the handover steps. You can edit your plan and make fresh copies without another payment. There is no subscription.

What happens after I pay?

Your plan opens at once, so you can start. Your Key also arrives by email. Keep that email: a new phone or laptop asks for the Key once, unless your plan is in your Google Drive.

Why do I sign in with Google?

You do not have to. If you sign in, the app keeps your plan in a private folder in your own Google Drive and saves it there as you write, so you can pick up on any device without carrying a file. That folder holds your locked Plan File and your Key, so anyone who can get into your Google account can open your plan. Keep that account secure. Google also tells the app your email address, to show which account it saves to. Sign in as your plan email: a plan saves only to that Google account. One account can keep several plans, for example yours and a parent's. What you write in your chapters is never uploaded to us.

Can you see what I write?

No. What you write in your chapters never reaches us. When you pay, we receive the name the plan is for, your email address (and, for a gift, theirs), and the payment reference. If the open alert is on, we also receive your Key and your plan email when you make your files, and, when the file is opened, your name and the name the opener types.

Can my spouse and I share one plan?

Each plan is for one person: the Key is made for the name given when it was bought. You each need your own, and you can name each other as the Trusted Person.

Can I buy a plan for my mother or father?

Yes. On the buy page, type their name, because the plan is made for that name. Tick Buying for someone else? and give their email: it becomes the plan email, and the Key goes to both of you. If they have no email, leave it as your own.

Do my plan holders need to buy morrow too if I hand over my plan?

No. They use the Emergency Sheet and the Sealed File you give them. The printed sheet needs nothing. The Sealed File opens in Chrome or Safari and asks for the five words on the paper you gave them. There is a page for them: Received a Plan?

Using your plan

Do I have to finish it all at once?

Not at all. Start with what you know, take a break, and come back when you are ready. You can update your plan as life changes.

How do I save my plan?

Choose Google Drive for automatic saving, or save a Plan File yourself. On supported browsers, morrow can update the same file as you work. Otherwise, save a fresh copy after making changes.
Your browser also keeps a draft on this device. It helps you return to your work, but it is not a backup.
On a laptop in Chrome or Edge, the app keeps saving into the same Plan File. Elsewhere, press Save Plan File again when the top bar says Changes not saved.

How do I know my plan is saved?

Check the save status in the app. Wait until it says your changes are saved before closing. If it says saving has paused or changes are not saved, follow the message or save a Plan File as a backup.

What are the different files for?
  • Plan File: your own copy, locked with your Key. Keep it so you can return and make changes.
  • Emergency Sheet: the page your people turn to first.
  • Sealed File: the full plan, protected by a passphrase.

Give your people the Emergency Sheet and the Sealed File. The Plan File is yours alone.

Can I use morrow on my phone?

Yes. Open dearmorrow.co in the phone's browser, and add it to the home screen from the browser menu so it opens like an app. Longer chapters are easier on a laptop; ticks and small edits are easy on a phone.

How do I add morrow to my Home Screen?

On an iPhone or iPad, in Safari or Chrome:

  • Tap Share in your browser.
  • Choose Add to Home Screen.
  • Tap Add to finish.

On Android, in Chrome:

  • Tap the three-dot menu in Chrome.
  • Choose the install or Home Screen option.
  • Follow the prompts to add morrow.

Then open morrow from your Home Screen. Adding morrow to your Home Screen does not save your plan. Keep saving it to Google Drive or a Plan File.

How do I move to another device?

If your plan is in your Google Drive, open the app on the new device and press Continue from Google Drive. Otherwise save your latest Plan File, move it across, open the app, and press Open Plan File. The new device asks for your Key once; it is in your purchase email. The draft in a browser does not move by itself.

How do I hand my plan over?

The handover checklist walks you through it. Give the Emergency Sheet and the Sealed File to the two people you named, and give them the passphrase separately, on paper. Open the Sealed File together once, so you both know it works.

When should I update it?

Look again once a year, or whenever something important changes: a phone number, an account, a relationship, a responsibility, or a wish. After updating, seal a new Sealed File, print a fresh sheet, and give your people the new copies.

Can I change who holds my plan?

Yes. Change their details under Plan Holders and give the new people fresh copies. Ask the previous holders to delete or return theirs. A copy you have already given out cannot be taken back from here.

What if morrow is no longer around?

Your downloaded Emergency Sheet and Sealed File do not need our website to open.

Something's not working

I paid, but my plan did not open.

After payment you are sent to your plan, already open, and the Key is also emailed to you. If that did not happen, go to Open My Plan, find Start With a New Key, and paste the Key from the email; check spam too. If there is no email, write to contact@dearmorrow.co with the email you paid with and the payment reference. Do not send your plan or your passphrase.

I cannot find my Key.

It is in the email you were sent when you paid; search your inbox for morrow. If the email is gone, write to contact@dearmorrow.co with the payment reference, and we will send the same Key again.

I gave the wrong email when I paid.

Contact us from an email address you can access. Include your payment reference, the email entered at checkout and the correct address. We'll verify the purchase and help correct it. If we issue a corrected Key, use 'I Have a Corrected Key' on your plan home. Your existing entries are kept.

I typed the wrong name when I paid.

Write to contact@dearmorrow.co from the email you paid with, with the payment reference and the right spelling. We send a corrected Key. On your plan home, press I Have a Corrected Key and paste it: the name changes, and everything you wrote is kept.

I lost my Plan File.

If your plan is in Google Drive, press Continue from Google Drive on any device. If the draft still opens on your original device, press Save Plan File there to make a new copy. If the Drive copy, the saved file, and the browser draft are all gone, we cannot recover them: your plan never reached us. The Emergency Sheet and the Sealed File you already handed over stay with their holders.

Saving to Google Drive has stopped.

The top bar and a note on the page say why, and everything you typed stays on this device.

  • No internet: the app keeps trying and saves when you are back online.
  • Google asks you to sign in again: this happens every hour or so; tap Keep Saving.
  • A different Google account: saving stops, so your plan never lands in someone else's Drive; sign in as your plan email.
  • Your plan was changed on another device: the app asks which plan to keep, and nothing is saved until you choose. If you open the Drive's Plan, you can go back to this device's Plan until you make a change.
  • Your Google Drive is full: free some space, then press Try Again; save a file meanwhile.
I can't find my plan in Google Drive.

morrow keeps your plan in a private app folder, so it won't appear in your usual Drive file list. To open it, return to morrow and choose Continue from Google Drive.

To check it is there, or to delete it: open Google Drive, go to Settings, then Manage Apps. morrow shows Hidden app data with its size, and Delete hidden app data removes it.

I lost the passphrase.

Check with the other holder; they may still have it on paper. If you still have your plan, seal a new Sealed File: it gets a new passphrase. Send the new copies and give the new paper in person. Without its passphrase the old Sealed File cannot be opened, and we cannot open it for you.

What if I lose my phone?

If your plan is in your Google Drive, open the app on any device and press Continue from Google Drive. If you saved a Plan File somewhere else, open that copy with your Key. If the only copy was on the lost phone, we cannot recover it. The printed Emergency Sheet and the Sealed File your people hold are not affected.

Still need a hand?

For a payment or access problem, include the email you paid with and the payment reference. Keep your plan and your passphrase private.
